Last year we sold out of tasting tickets. More than 400 people sampled and enjoyed local brew and supported the entrepreneurs supplying the ingredients for the brews. Beer does not come from bottles, but from crops that are grown in Massachusetts and New England: hops, barley and many other local items for special flavor, including fruit, oysters, herbs, etc. Mead is a honey-based beverage and wine is also yielded from local crops.
The event will feature up to a dozen locally crafted beer suppliers, locally brewed mead, and wine. Proceeds from the tasting will fund the festival.
