Local Eating For the Winter

It’s easy to eat when the fields are full of food, but what do you do when the cold winds blow? Plan in advance with do-it-at-home winter storage tips from locavore Chef JJ Gonson. Chef JJ will also work with some of Four Star Farm’s locally grown and milled grains (Northfield, Mass.), and give you tips and recipes for eating locally all twelve months of the year. Remember, local food in the winter is as delicious and nutritious as in the summer.
JJ’s cooking demo begins at 3.30 at the Cooking Stage at the Boston Local Food Festival.
